TWINS: This is a collage I started years ago. It's huge, about 4 feet high. I was obsessd with it for about 6 months and then, somehow, it got put aside. It's made of little bits of magazine paper. I gathered up all the magazines I could and ripped out all pages with shades of grey. I cut them up into little pieces and organized them into a full gradient and set them out on little plates. With those, a bottle of glue and my fingertip I went about trying to create the image I had sketched out. Still unfinished, this piece has suffered the effects time; it used to look bright and blemish free. This was to be a gift for my Aunt. It is based on an old photo of her and my mother - twins. I enjoyed working on this piece and although it will never be completed I will consider it a finished work. I like it as it is now.
